A ceasefire with Israel is like...
A scorpion wants to cross a river but can’t swim, so it asks a frog to carry it across on its back. The frog hesitates, saying, “But you’ll sting me, and I’ll die.” The scorpion reassures the frog, pointing out that if it stings the frog, they’ll both drown. Convinced by this logic, the frog agrees. Halfway across the river, the scorpion stings the frog anyway. As they both start to sink, the frog asks, “Why did you do that? Now we’ll both die!” The scorpion replies, “I couldn’t help it—it’s in my nature.”
